What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept payment either in cash, local check, certified check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) upon the completion of your move. A deposit of $100 is required on all booked moves and will be applied toward the final charges of your move. The deposit is refundable with a 48 hour cancellation notice. This deposit can be paid for by check, cash or by credit card. |

How will the total charges be calculated?
The actual cost of your relocation will be determined by multiplying the actual hours spent on your move by the hourly cost quoted to you by our estimator. Please recognize that our estimated time for the completion of your move is just that-an educated estimate. As such, the actual time spent to relocate your assets may differ from what we may have estimated. Union Moving and Delivery, Inc. will not be responsible for delays due to traffic or inclement weather. |

How does the valuation coverage work?
The hourly rate charged includes a LIMITED mover’s liability at no charge. Our claim reimbursement is for loss or damage not exceeding $300 per move, based on the depreciated value at the time of loss or damage. There are items that are not covered under the terms of our general liability policy unless crated, such as mirrors, marble, naked glass, pool tables, grandfather clocks, etc. (check with your sales consultant regarding third party services). We also recommend that you remove any articles of extraordinary monetary or personal value from the premises prior to the move as we are not responsible for such items under the current government regulations. We are not responsible for damage to plant life or to the contents of any container not packed by our crew unless there is external damage or evidence of mishandling. We suggest you contact your home owner’s agent and ask to check for a “marine clause” or “goods in transit” in your existing content’s coverage. *Note: There is an option to purchase Full Value Insurance at a cost of $8.75 per $1,000 (no deductible) of the declared value of your shipment ($5,000 per room minimum), or $2.92 per $1,000 ($300 deductible). |
